Professor Adesina has received several research and teaching awards throughout his career including, the 2014 Innovation Award (from the University of New South Wales, Australia). He was named the 2017 laureate of the Nigerian National Merit Award by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for distinguished contributions to the field of engineering and technology.
